Istanbul, Türkiye · International & Turkish Students

Around the Table

TİSYA brought international and Turkish students together for a potluck iftar in an Istanbul park. Everyone contributed by bringing food from home, creating a shared meal that reflected the diversity of the community and gave participants an opportunity to introduce others to familiar dishes and traditions.

The Spirit of Ramadan

The gathering celebrated the values of generosity, unity, and sharing. Breaking fast together offered a simple but meaningful way to bring people from different backgrounds closer, while reflecting the importance of community and togetherness during Ramadan.

More Than a Meal

As students shared food under the moonlight, conversations flowed and people had the chance to get to know one another beyond their usual circles. Sharing a meal created a welcoming atmosphere where different experiences, cultures, and traditions could come together naturally.

After Iftar

After iftar, participants enjoyed activities and spent time together in a relaxed atmosphere. These moments helped turn a shared meal into an opportunity for friendship, laughter, and lasting memories, allowing everyone to continue connecting beyond the dinner itself.
